SCAMMER SHOUTED AT ME WHEN I DIDN'T WISH TO PROVIDE MY DETAILS

I received an whatsapp call from an unknown number (+923423009491 - pakistan country code).

I answered it and i felt some pakistan/bangladesh nation slanged caller started speaking.

Caller said his name is michael & he is calling from dbs & posb bank regarding that "my bank atm card is blocked" and he started asking my nation id number, i didn't gave him any information.

Then i told him i will go to dbs branch and submit required documents.Best

Then to my surprise caller started shouting at me asking me : "yesterday i sent you an SMS why you didn't replied?".

I asked him which branch is he calling from and why his number is not an singapore number, caller said it's an internet generated number.

I asked him why my bank ATM card is blocked what was the reason? Caller said it was an regulatory issue that's why.

Then I said work for fin firm, what’s the regulatory issue & who's the regulatory for it?

Then the caller said "sir, if you’re not interested, ok we will block your atm card permanently".

Luckily, I understood it’s a scam caller from following hints i got:

- caller number is not sg number.

- i never saw bank personnel doing an whatsapp call to thier customers

- bank personnel will not be shouting at their customers and sound threatening

I'm sharing this details to warn others of this scam! Beware!
